Authorities have released the names of the four people killed in a crash near Cornell in northwestern Wisconsin.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office named them Sunday as 23-year-old Mikaila S. Toske, 21-year-old Raven A. Ellin and 36-year-old Jonathan J. Jorgensen, all of Eau Claire, and 46-year-old Kristine J. Kummer, of Medford.
Toske, Ellin and Jorgensen were passengers in a minivan driven that collided with a pickup truck in which Kummer was a passenger.
Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says the crash happened around 5 p.m. Saturday when the northbound minivan either failed to yield or ran a stop sign and collided with the westbound pickup truck.
The four died at the scene. Five survivors, including the two drivers, were taken to Eau Claire hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
