Savannah, GA : Man killed in accident at Georgia Ports on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016

At approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday, a fatal accident involving two private truck operators occurred on the Mason rail yard at the Port of Savannah’s Garden City Terminal.

Preliminary reports indicate one driver had exited his vehicle when he was struck by the second driver. The injured driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is being investigated by Georgia Ports Authority Police. The identity of the victim has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
