Springfield, MO : Man killed in Springfield hit-and-run crash on Sunday, January 22, 2017
Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash in Springfield.
The Springfield News-Leader reports that 45-year-old Bradley Bizzle was struck just before 11 p.m. Sunday while walking across a Springfield street. He died later at a hospital.
Police announced Monday that officers have located the black four-door vehicle that is believed to have been involved in the hit-and-run. No announcements were made about suspects or arrests.
Police Lt. Grant Dorrell says the evidence indicates Bizzle wasn’t walking in a crosswalk but between two crosswalks in the middle of the street when he was hit. Officers haven’t determined whether the driver had a green light.
Bizzle’s cousin, Melissa Martin, said Bizzle lived with his girlfriend near where the accident occurred. She described Bizzle as a “super good-hearted guy.”
