Milwaukee, WI : 35-year-old killed in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday November 5 2015
Officers found a car involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed 35-year-old Reeanna Ramazini on Thursday night on Milwaukee’s south side, police said. The car was found Friday on Franklin Place and officers took a 17-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl into custody, police said. Investigators are still looking for the 19-year-old man who was allegedly driving the car.
Ramazini was struck around 8 p.m. Thursday while walking near the intersection of South 20th Street and West Bolivar Avenue. She died at the scene.
It hurts. It hurts, you know? It was like she was here, and now she's gone,” said Ramazini’s stepmother, who did not want to be identified.
Family members said someone in a four-door white SUV threw something at Ramazini's boyfriend, and the SUV continued circling the neighborhood. Ramazini went outside to try to capture a photo of the car.
She was trying to snap a picture with her cellphone when she was hit.
Her phone was smashed, but the detectives said they can get it out of there, so hopefully they got the license plate number now. That's all we can wish for now,” Ramazini’s stepmother said.
Two off-duty police officers were nearby and tried to revive Ramazini.
