Blair, NE : One injured in motorcycle-truck crash in Blair on Friday, 30th March 2018
One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday after a truck struck a motorcycle in Blair.
Blair police, Washington County sheriff's deputies and Blair Rescue responded to the crash just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of North 19th and Park streets.
According to witnesses, a man driving a custom motorcycle was eastbound on Park Street when he tried to cross 19th Street as another car turned, Officer Bob Leehy said. A red Chevrolet pickup truck pulling a boat was unable to stop.
Blair Rescue transported the man to Memorial Community Hospital & Health System. He was then transported by medical helicopter to an Omaha hospital. Leehy said the man's right lower leg was possibly broken and he was suffering from road rash.
Leehy said the man was wearing a helmet.
