Killington, VT : Three people killed in crash involving tractor-trailer on U.S. Route 4 in Killington on Tuesday afternoon, December 29, 2015

Vermont State Police are investigating a crash on U.S. Route 4 in Killington that killed three people on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a tractor-trailer and “SUV type vehicle” were involved in the crash around 2:14 p.m. There were seven people occupying the two vehicles total.

The road will be closed through late Tuesday evening, possibly through early Wednesday. Police asked drivers to avoid the road from the Pico Ski area in Mendon to the junction with Vt. 100.
