Kingston,NY : 21-year-old Kingston man killed in crash on Sunday August 9th 2015

A 21-year-old Kingston man was killed Sunday (Aug. 9) after losing control of his vehicle on Route 1 in Topsfield, Maine.
According to Maine State Police, Trooper Chad Lindsey responded to a fatal crash in Topsfield around 12:45 p.m. Aug. 9. The victim has been identified as Robert Thibeault, 21, who died at the scene.
Police say Thibeault was driving a 2005 Chevy Malibu south on Route 1 and had lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go off the east side of the road and into a tree.
Two passengers, both from Massachusetts, were also in the vehicle. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Their names have not been released. Police would not say Monday where they are from.
All three occupants were wearing seatbelts. According to police, speed and driver inattention appear to be a factor in the crash.
