A man on his 70s died this morning after he was struck by a vehicle in Southeast Austin.

At approximately at 6 a.m., the man was hit by a silver sedan driving on the outside lane of U.S. 183 while crossing the highway at Vargas Road, an Austin Police Department spokesman said.
The driver is not facing charges, the spokesman said. The victim was pronounced dead at 6:12 a.m., an Austin-Travis County EMS official said.
