Moulton, AL : A motorcyclist was injured after colliding with an 18-wheeler at Alabama 24 On Wednesday, May 25th, 2016

A motorcyclist was injured early tonight after colliding with an 18-wheeler on Alabama 24 just west of Lawrence County 434.

Thomas Rutherford, 50, of Caddo was taken to Decatur-Morgan Hospital's Parkway Campus, according to his son, Zac Rutherford. The injuries weren't believed to be life threatening, said Zac Rutherford, who had spoken with his father.

The younger Rutherford said he was told both vehicles were westbound when the accident occurred between 6 and 7 p.m. near the Dollar General on the north side of Alabama 24.

Further details weren't available. State troopers were investigating.
