Phoenix,AZ : Pregnant woman dies after car crash in Phoenix on December, Sunday 10th 2017

Authorities say a pregnant woman is dead after a car crash in central Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the accident occurred about 6 a.m. Sunday near Thomas Road and 19th Avenue.

They say the woman drove from the curb lane in an attempt to pass a truck and crashed into a metal structure that separates eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic.

Police have not released the name and age of the woman who died, but say she was seven months pregnant and the fetus also didn’t survive the crash.

They say a man who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
