MOREAU, NY : Woman seriously injured on Route 197 in Moreau on Wednesday, 11th July 2018

A seriously-injured woman was flown to Albany Medical Center Hospital after her vehicle struck an oversized trailer traveling in the opposite direction, at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on Route 197 in Moreau.

First responders found Arica Mabb, 29, of Queensbury trapped inside the sedan she was driving.

She was extracted and treated at the scene by Moreau EMS and Med Flight personnel, before being taken to the hospital. She is still in Albany Medical Center Hospital but is expected to survive, authorities said Wednesday afternoon.

Fire departments from South Glens Falls, Gansevoort, Wilton and Fort Edward assisted.
