Two people were killed Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP said Patrece Patrick, 43, of Orlando, and a 57-year-old Orlando man died in the crash, which occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Fort Christmas Road and State Road 50.

Troopers said Patrick was driving a 2015 four-door Hyundai south on Fort Christmas Road when she tried to make a left turn onto S.R. 50 but lost control and traveled into a wooded area.

The car struck a tree, and Patrick and her passenger both died at the scene, the FHP said.

The man's name has not been released.
