Dallas, TX : 1 killed, 2 injured in crash on U.S. 380 in Collin County on Tuesday afternoon, September 13, 2016

One person was killed and two injured in a crash along U.S. Highway 380 near Princeton late Tuesday afternoon.

The crash, involving a pickup and sedan, was reported about 5 p.m. on the highway near Cypress Bend Drive.

A mother and her child were in one vehicle and a third person was alone in the second vehicle. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, , KXAS-TV (NBC5) reported.

Medical helicopters transported two people to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not available, NBC5 reported.

The cause of the crash, which happened during rush hour, was not available.
