Paris Township, OH : Passenger killed in SR 183 crash in Stark County on Monday evening, September 22, 2014
A woman died in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening in Paris Township.
It happened on SR 183, just south of Marvindale Street about 6:30 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
A 2003 Ford Explorer was traveling southbound on SR 183, when it drove off the right side of the road. Officials said the driver, Justin Keister, 23, of Minerva, attempted to correct the vehicle and then veered off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then hit a ditch and rolled over several times.
The front seat passenger, Sabrina Clark, 37, of Minerva, was rushed to the hospital, where she later died. Officials said Clark was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Keister was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to troopers, alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
