Livermore,CA : A San Lorenzo man died in the morning after crashing into an SUV on Wednesday, 6th June 2018

A San Lorenzo man died Wednesday morning after crashing into an SUV that pulled out in front of him, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities did not immediately identify the man, but the CHP estimated him to be in his mid-30s. He died at the scene.

According to the CHP, the man drove the motorcycle north on Altamont Pass Road in the unincorporated part of the city, when a Tracy woman driving a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe south tried to make a left-hand turn onto Carroll Road.

“He went straight into the front of her car and into the windshield,” CHP spokesman Officer Tyler Hahn said.

The woman was not arrested, and Hahn said there were no indications that the crash was caused alcohol or drugs.

Officers found the motorcyclist on the ground after arriving to the crash scene. The crash happened around 6:34 a.m.
