Camas, WA : Wrong-way driver crashes on Highway 14 in Camas on Wednesday night, November 5, 2014
Two people were injured when police say a Camas man drove the wrong way on State Route 14 east of Vancouver just outside Camas late Wednesday night.
The Washington State Patrol said 40-year-old Kevin S. Wilson was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the highway at 11:15 p.m. when he struck a westbound Volkswagen driven by 58-year-old Dan S. Daley of Vancouver.
Daley's car then crashed into a Toyota Camry driven by 62-year-old Ardon A. Derie of Vancouver.
Daley was taken by ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Hospital; Derie was taken by friends to Peace Health Medical Center in Vancouver. There conditions were no immediately available.
Police said Wilson ran from the scene but was captured nearby; he was not injured but police suspect he may have been driving impaired.
He was booked into the Clark County Jail on accusations of vehicular assault and felony hit and run, state police officials said.
