Yuma, AZ : Elderly pedestrian killed in Yuma on Friday, December 23, 2016

Police in Yuma say a 74-year-old man has died after being struck while crossing a street on Friday.

Police say a small SVU was headed north on 4th Avenue when it struck the man, who was crossing the street.

The man, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital, where he died.

Police are still investigating and a portion of the road remains closed. Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
