Portland, OR : One man is dead after an early morning wreck on February, Saturday 10th 2018
One man is dead after an early morning wreck at the intersection of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Stark Street, according to Portland police.
The crash happened about 12:40 a.m. The preliminary investigation found that the driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser was speeding northbound on Southeast 122nd Avenue, ran a red light and slammed onto a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The driver of the Chrysler died at the scene. His name was not immediately available.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to a local hospital. Police described the person's injuries as non-life-threatening.
Police said they suspect alcohol, as well as speed, were factors in the crash.
