Brentwood , NH : Driver struck behind by a box truckand injured after SUV then spun around into the southbound lane on Friday morning , March 6th 2015

Route 125 in Brentwood was closed in both directions Friday morning after a serious crash.

The crash occurred in the area of Crawley Falls Road just before 8:30 a.m.

State police said an SUV was stopped in the northbound lane of Route 125 waiting to make a left turn when it was struck behind by a box truck. The SUV then spun around into the southbound lane.

Police said the driver of the SUV had to be removed from the car using the Jaws of Life.

The SUV's driver was taken to Boston Medical Center by helicopter with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the box truck was taken to Exeter Hospital to be checked out.

The road reopened after 11 a.m.
