HINDS COUNTY, MS : 1 killed in crash on Natchez Trace Parkway on Wednesday, 11th November, 2020

One person was killed in a crash on the Natchez Trace Parkway, authorities said.Officials at the scene Wednesday morning said the driver of a white vehicle was killed in a head-on collision. The driver of an SUV was taken to a hospital with what authorities said were non-life-threatening injuries.The Trace was closed between Pinehaven Drive and Highway 49 after the crash, which was reported about 9 a.m.

Authorities said speed may have been a factor in the crash.

The names of those involved have not been released.
