Woodhaven, MI : Ohio woman dies after being hit by vehicle on I-75 in Woodhaven on Thursday, March 31, 2016

A 35-year-old Ohio woman was killed at about 1 a.m. Thursday after being hit while waiting inside of her vehicle because her car had broken down on I-75 near West Road in Woodhaven.

According to police, the woman was sitting in her car when she was rear-ended by another vehicle.

The vehicle that struck her had two male occupants. The passenger was reported to be seriously injured and the driver walked away with minor injuries.

Police said the driver’s blood alcohol level is being tested. The accident is currently under investigation.

The crash led to the expressway being closed until about 7 a.m.
