Westfield, MA : Man seriously injured after hit by car in Westfield on Sunday, March 19, 2017

Police in Westfield say a man riding a motorized scooter was seriously injured when he was hit by a car.

Sgt. Michael Chechily says it happened around 6 p.m. Sunday. The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

State police were called to the scene to investigate. No charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle as of Sunday night.
