HARBOR CITY, CA : One injured after motorcycle crashes in Harbor City on Monday, 5th September, 2016

A motorcycle chase Monday that started on the southbound 110 Freeway in Harbor City ended in a crash that left at least one person injured, authorities said.

The pursuit started at 4:21 p.m. on the freeway just north of Pacific Coast Highway when officers attempted to pull over a motorcycle that was going too slow, according to Officer Elizabeth Kravig of the California Highway Patrol.

The driver of the motorcycle took the Pacific Coast Highway exit and traveled on city streets until he or she crashed at about 4:26 p.m. near the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Lomita Boulevard, Kravig said.

At least one or two people were injured, Kravig said.

One other passenger was riding on the motorcycle, she added.

An ambulance was en route and officers remained on the scene.
