Omaha, NE : Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in North Omaha on Friday afternoon, January 30, 2015

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in north Omaha on Friday afternoon.

Authorities said the victim had just gotten out of his pickup in the area of 30th Street and Newport Avenue around 1 p.m., when he was struck by a dark-colored SUV that did not stop.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have not released the identity of the victim or more details on the suspect vehicle.
