Jackson ,WI : 18 - Years old huffed fumes crashed car into a curb and row of mailboxes on Thursday ,April 2nd 2015

An 18-year-old Slinger woman is believed to have huffed fumes from an aerosol can just before crashing into a curb and row of mailboxes in Jackson, police said Friday.

The woman's Ford Focus went over the curb on Jackson Drive at Main St. and hit a concrete-filled tub holding a mailbox post about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a Jackson police news release.

The car dragged the 200-pound concrete tub more than 60 feet before stopping, and a witness told police the driver tossed an aerosol can from the car after the crash, authorities said.

Police found the can and the woman told officers she took four "hits" of Ultra Duster compressed air — used to clean crumbs and debris from keyboards and other electronics — and passed out, according to the release.

The woman was cited for first-offense operating while intoxicated and taken to Washington County Jail. She was charged Friday with abusing a hazardous substance and felony bail jumping, a charge stemming from an open case against the woman for possession with intent to deliver designer drugs.

Police initially said the woman was from Pardeeville, but online court records list a Slinger address.
