Orlando, FL : Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle on Colonial Drive in Orlando on Wednesday, April 22, 2015

A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Colonial Drive in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the pedestrian was hit in the westbound lanes of Colonial Drive, also known as State Road 50, at Homefolks Drive around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

That person was later pronounced dead at Orlando Regional Medical Center, investigators said.

All westbound lanes were blocked while troopers investigated the crash.
