Columbus, OH : Emergency responders were called to the scene of a semi truck crash on Friday, September 1, 2017
Emergency responders were called to the scene of a semi truck crash near Alligator Jacks on Route 7 Friday morning. At the scene, Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood stated that the driver of the truck was allegedly cut off by another vehicle reportedly leading to the crash. The driver was taken to Holzer Meigs ER. Also on scene were the Pomeroy Fire Department, Meigs EMS, Meigs EMA, the sheriff’s office and Ohio State Highway Patrol. Hazmat crews had been called in to assist with the cleanup of a diesel fuel spill. Pomeroy Fire Department Pumper 1’s crew contained the fuel using absorbent booms and pads with the Hazmat crew assisting.
