Parley's Canyon, UT : Man died in Parley's Canyon, after crashing into an unoccupied pickup truck and trailer on westbound Interstate 80 on Sunday August 10, 2014

A man died in Parley’s Canyon Sunday morning after crashing into a parked vehicle. The man, who was not immediately identified, was driving west on Interstate 80 when his Nissan sedan went off the road near mile post 133, west of the East Canyon exit, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. About 7:50 a.m., he crashed into the back of a Ford pickup truck, which was unoccupied, and a small trailer. The driver was not wearing his seat belt, and investigators suspect that alcohol and drugs may have been involved. Evidence also indicates the car was speeding. The man was the only one in the Nissan. UHP is waiting to release his name until they can notify his family. I-80 westbound was reduced to one lane while investigators cleared the crash scene, causing traffic to back up for about two miles. Source : Man killed in Parley’s Canyon crash
