LORTON, VA : Fairfax County Police investigate crash that left 1 man dead in Lorton, Virginia on Wednesday, 14th February 2024

Fairfax County Police are investigating a crash that left one man dead Wednesday morning.

Just before 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the scene of a crash involving a dump truck and a van at the intersection of US-1 and Giles Run in Lorton. Police said a man, identified as the driver of the van, died at a local hospital. His identity has not been released at this time, this includes his age and name.

The dump truck driver was uninjured and remained at the scene, according to police.
