Clay County, AR : One person killed, one woman injured in a head-on crash on Highway 139 in Clay County on Thursday, February 5, 2015

A head-on crash in Clay County killed one man and injured one woman.

Scotty Corter, 51, of Greenway was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Arkansas State Police.

The preliminary crash report states Corter and the driver of the vehicle, Laura Corter, were traveling south on Arkansas Highway 139 Thursday just before 1 p.m. Another vehicle driven by James Roberts was heading north.

Police state Roberts crossed the center line and struck Corter's vehicle head on.

Laura Corter was taken to a Kennett hospital with unknown injuries. Roberts was not injured, according to ASP.
