Oakland, MD : Woman ejected from vehicle in Garrett County crash on Saturday, August 20, 2016

A woman suffered unspecified injuries when she was ejected from her vehicle late Saturday on Gorman Road, according to the Garrett County Sheriff's Office.

Ashley Ann Gregg, 28, of Oakland was operating her vehicle southbound on Gorman Road near Doctor Tolson Road at about 10:45 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle that crossed the center yellow line into the northbound embankment.

The vehicle traveled along the embankment and struck several trees and a utility pole before returning to the highway where it overturned.

Gregg was thrown out of the vehicle during the crash, police said.

Gregg was taken to the Garrett Regional Medical Center by Southern Garrett Rescue Squad for treatment of injuries.

Oakland and Gorman volunteer fire departments also responded to the scene upon alert by the Garrett County 911 emergency center.
