GOODYEAR, AZ : Loop 303 reopens after deadly, fiery crash in Goodyear on Tuesday, 12th December 2023

A major freeway in the West Valley is back open after a fiery crash on Tuesday night.

It happened on the northbound Loop 303 offramp at Indian School Road around 9:20 p.m. Witnesses reported that a car was speeding before it appeared to have lost control and crashed into a metal overhead sign off the freeway. Troopers say the driver was partially thrown off the vehicle and was seriously injured when they arrived. DPS tells Arizona’s Family that the driver was rushed to a hospital where they later died.

Traffic cameras in the area showed a car on fire and then exploding following the wreck. It also appeared that the flames spread to nearby brush. No other information has been released.
