Erving, MA :Minor injuries in Erving rollover crash on Tuesday, July 7th 2015

An accident hampered traffic on Route 2 Tuesday morning and sent a Connecticut woman to the hospital with what police noted as minor injuries.Trooper Matthew Guarino of Massachusetts State Police media relations said the Athol barracks received a report of a rollover crash at 10:34 a.m. on Route 2 by Wheelock Street.State and local police and the Erving Fire Department responded.Guarino said the report showed a 30-year-old New Britain woman, the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet pickup, was taken to the Baystate Franklin Medical Center with minor injuries. State Police no longer release the names of accident survivors unless they are charged.Guarino said the vehicle struck the guardrail and the cause of the accident was still under investigation.The accident backed up midmorning traffic on the state highway. Guarino said the vehicle was removed and the scene cleared at 10:56 a.m.
