Reading, PA : Tractor-trailer crashes into Ontelaunee Township underpass on Friday, September 15th 2017

West Huller Lane in Ontelaunee Township was closed for about two hours Friday after a tractor-trailer crashed into a railroad underpass that was shorter than the rig.

The driver, Jerry Franklin, 59, of Illinois was able to back the rig out from the tunnel, but the trailer nearly broke in half, said Sgt. Ronald Mohl of Northern Berks Regional police.
The road had to be closed between Route 61 and Leesport Avenue to allow for crews to unloaded the trailer before it could be hauled away.
