Westbrook, CT : 20-year-old Connecticut man struck and killed by a car on Interstate 95 northbound Sunday morning, July 3, 2016

State police say a 20-year-old Connecticut man was fatally struck by a car on Interstate 95.

Police say Matthew Dorio of Westbrook was walking on the shoulder of I-95 northbound Sunday morning when he was hit by a vehicle traveling in the right lane.

The 47-year-old driver wasn’t injured and hasn’t been charged in the incident. It’s unclear why Dorio was walking on the highway. Police are investigating.
