No one injured when car crashes into Newport gas station

Employees and customers got an unwelcomed shock Thursday morning at a Newport gas station.

A vehicle crashed into a Citgo gas station in Newport.

Cashier Kathy Gates said the damage to the establishment is substantial. "Window's all busted, the wall is all caved in, it moved all of our machines away, soda spilled everywhere. So, the whole wall and the window and... scary deal," Gates said.

Gates says someone was sitting nearby when the accident happened, but no one was hurt.
