A 27-year-old man died at the scene of a crash that left a car under a tractor-trailer truck and two other people injured.
The accident on Old Petrie Road at South Pine Street (U.S. 176) happened at 10:58 a.m. Thursday.
Video from Sky 4 showed the vehicle under the rear of the tractor trailer.
Coroner Rusty Clevenger said Dennis Ray Fowler Jr., from Union, died at the scene of the crash.
Clevenger said the other two people were transported to Spartanburg Medical Center.
Beth Parks, spokeswoman for the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles, said an applicant was taking a CDL test in the tractor-trailer at the time of the crash.
She said the person taking the test and the DMV employee were not injured.
