KINGS PARK, NY : Woman killed when car strikes tree on Wednesday evening July 9th 2014

Suffolk County Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman on Long Island.

Police say a car driven by 49-year-old Anna Devecchis of Kings Park veered off the road and struck a tree in Kings Park at around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Devecchis was taken by police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
