Tucson, AZ : A bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash at North Flowing Wells Road near West Wetmore Road On Monday, August 15th, 2016

A bicyclist was seriously hurt and a suspect is being sought following a hit-and-run crash on the northwest side of Tucson on Monday night, Aug. 15, authorities said.

The Northwest Fire District said a woman in her 40s was hit on North Flowing Wells Road near West Wetmore Road. Emergency crews arrived on scene about 8:20 p.m. after several 911 calls were made by passing motorists.

The rider suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Banner University Medical Center's Main campus.

Dep. Ryan Inglett, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, said they were still looking for the driver as of Tuesday morning.
