Fairmont , WV : Pedestrian injured after man had been run over by a driver in a pick-up truck at 1015 Indiana Ave., East Fairmont Shop On Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016

A man has been flown to the hospital following an auto-pedestrian accident in East Fairmont Tuesday.

At approximately 1:12 p.m. Tuesday, crews were dispatched to 1015 Indiana Ave., East Fairmont Shop 'n Save, where a man had been run over by a driver in a pick-up truck.

According to a Marion County 911 dispatcher, the victim was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital to receive medical treatment.

Fairmont Fire Department, Marion County Rescue Squad and the Fairmont Police Department responded to the scene.

The accident is currently still under investigation.
