Davie, FL : Man dead in 3-vehicle crash on State Road 7 on Tuesday morning, April 12, 2016

A man died and two others were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash during the Tuesday morning commute on State Road 7, Davie police said.

Two cars and an SUV struck several trees in the median just south of Interstate 595 at about 7 a.m., causing temporary closure of all lanes on State Road 7.

"Thankfully the traffic as been completely cleared and all lanes are functioning and opened," Sgt. Pablo Castaneda said just before 1 p.m.

One injured person was evaluated and released from Broward Health Medical Center and another remained hospitalized with serious injuries, Castaneda said.
