Orlando,FL : 4 people injured in head-on collision, FHP says on December, Monday 25th 2017
An overnight head-on collision in Orange County left four people injured, one of them in critical condition, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
The crash was reported at 1:35 a.m. when a 2016 Buick westbound on Curry Ford Road collided with a 2004 Ford pickup traveling south on Bumby Avenue, FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said.
The pickup truck driver, a man who has not been identified, ran a red light at the intersection, striking the front right side of the other vehicle, according to a witness. His car overturned multiple times and he was ejected, Montes said.
He was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
Katherine Infante, 26, of Orlando, who was driving the Buick, struck a concrete light pole on the southwest corner of the intersection. She suffered minor injuries and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center along with passenger Ashley Infante, 24, who suffered serious injuries.
A third passenger, Kaylay Infante, 2, was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
