SPARTA, TN : 1 dead, others injured after head-on crash on Tennessee highway on Thursday, 25th January 2024

One person is dead and two others were injured after a head-on crash on Roberts Matthews Highway in Sparta, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

THP said at just after 8 a.m. Thursday a Chevy Silverado was traveling northbound when it allegedly crossed the center line and struck a Toyota Tacoma head-on.

The driver of the Tacoma, 64-year-old Bruce Richardson, died as a result of the crash, according to the preliminary report.

The driver of the Silverado, 19-year-old Michael Gooden, and a passenger in the truck were both injured in the crash. Charges are pending an investigation into this crash.
