Jefferson County, LA : Driver killed in crash on Interstate 265 on Monday, 9th September 2019 30 mins ago

A driver was killed Sunday night in Louisville in a crash on Interstate 265, Louisville Metro Police officials say.

The driver of a Toyota 4Runner was driving north on the Gene Snyder Freeway at Billtown Road just before 8 p.m. when they swerved to avoid a tire in the road, a preliminary LMPD investigation found. The motorist lost control of the vehicle and was ejected after running off the road.

The driver killed was identified Monday morning by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office as Justin Dean Adamson, 28, of Louisville. Blunt force trauma caused by the crash was cited as the cause of death.

The driver was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead. No one else was injured or involved in the crash, police say.
