Two-Vehicle Crash Sends Three To Hospital

Three people were taken to Affinity Hospital with minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at Lincoln Way E and Second Street NE.
Massillon police officer Jamie Slutz said the driver of a Pontiac minivan traveling west on Lincoln Way appeared to run a stop light and collided with an Oldsmobile Ciera turning left onto Second Street from eastbound Lincoln Way.
The minivan came to rest on a sidewalk next to the Massillon Public Library parking lot and knocked over a small tree between the road and walkway. The Oldsmobile landed along a snowy curb on eastbound Lincoln Way.

The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.A 12-year-old boy in the minivan was taken to the hospital, in addition to a man and woman in the Oldsmobile, said Slutz. There were no life-threatening injuries.
