Columbus, OH : A Fairfield County man was killed in a crash on May, Wednesday, 17th 2017

A Fairfield County man was killed Tuesday when his car went off the road and overturned in Walnut Township, the State Highway Patrol said.

Brett A. Smith II, 25, of Bremen, was driving west on Route 256 near Route 188 around 3:10 p.m. when his Honda Civic went off the left side of the road. Smith, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and died at the scene, the patrol said.

The crash remains under investigation.
