Lansing, MI : One hurt in crash on Randall Street in Coopersville on February, Monday 5th 2018
Jonathan Hull, 48, was hospitalized in stable condition following the 5:30 p.m. crash, according to Sgt. Matt Wildfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Hull was driving a 2009 Toyota van east on Randall Street when he attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him and struck on oncoming car, Wildfong said.
Hull’s van went off the road and hit a power pole, a park bench and a wooden bridge. The pole broke and the road was closed for about an hour for clean-up and for Consumers Energy to replace the pole.
The driver of the westbound 2017 Toyota Camry — Lisa Fife, 42, of Muskegon — tried to swerve out of the way when she saw the van coming, Wildfong said. Her vehicle was struck in the right rear. She was not injured.
Responding to the scene were Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies, Coopersville-Polkton firefighters, Michigan State Police and Life Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation.
