LYNCHBURG, VA : 29-year-old man in critical condition after Lynchburg hit-and-run on Tuesday, 19th March 2024

A 29-year-old man is in critical condition following a Tuesday hit-and-run in Lynchburg.

The Lynchburg Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck on the 600 block of Leesville Road around 12:30 p.m.

Police say a man, identified as Montchello Deondra Johnson, was found lying on a curb face down and not moving. He appeared to have been pushing a motorized mini bike along the road when he was hit by a driver, police add.

Johnson was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, and he remains in critical condition, according to police.
