Wilber, NE : Two people died in a head-on collision between a car and a van on Nebraska Highway 103 in Saline County on Tuesday morning, Nov 10, 2015

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office, a two vehicle crash resulted in two fatalities. The crash occurred on Hwy 103 north of Wilber, 2 miles in Saline County. Deputies from the Saline County Sheriff's Office, Wilber Police Department, Crete Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, and the Wilber Fire Rescue Responded to accident.

A 2000 Mecury Villager Van driven by Kevin W. Schroeder, 42, of Wilber, Nebraska was north bound on Hwy 103. A 1994 Nissan Altima driven by Nestor J. Godoy, 21, of Wilber was southbound.

The Nissan driven by Godoy had crossed over the center line and collided with the van in a head on crash. Schroeder was pronounced dead at the scene. Godoy was transported to Lincoln for treatment, however died from injuries sustained during the crash.

The use of seat belts is being investigated. The crash is being investigated by the Saline Country Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
