Joplin, MO : Three people injured in one-car wreck south of Joplin on Thursday, April 7, 2016

Three people received minor injuries when a pickup left a Newton County roadway Thursday.

James S. Cotten, 24, of Joplin was traveling westbound on Cedar Drive three miles south of Joplin, where his 2005 Ford F150 ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Cotten and passengers Dakota K. Ogden, 24, of Carthage and Joshua J. Paonessa, 28, of Joplin were taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin after the 1:25 p.m. wreck.
